Safety, Operation, Basic Marksmanship, and Defensive Shooting Skills.
In this 5 hour live fire range course students learn the basics of firearms safety and operation, listen to lectures, participate in group activities, proactively coach other students, and receive hands on and one-on-one instruction from industry professionals with law enforcement, military and competitive shooting experience. Training is focused towards weapons familiarization, and basic marksmanship.
This course is the range portion of our Nevada Concealed Firearms Permit Course. If you have already received your permit and do not need the classroom session this is the perfect course to learn or improve your safety, and marksmanship skills.
Topics covered:
- Range Safety and Etiquette
- The Four Universal Safety Rules
- Stances: Isosceles and Weaver
- Grip
- Presentation from Holster to Low Ready, to Target (Holster required for this portion of instruction)
- Administrative Loading and Unloading
- Marksmanship: Balance of Speed vs. Accuracy
- Reloading: Tactical, Emergency and Speed

Survival Sequence
Required Equipment needed:
- 100-150 rounds of ammunition for weapon.
- 1 Gun

A Hat with brim and wrap-around eye and hearing protection
Additional Equipment recommended:
- 1 Holster
- 1 Magazine Pouch
- 1 Sturdy Belt
- 1 Gun
